Squid Ink
Only I could be totally thrilled when I opened a package that came in the mail for my birthday and discovered squid ink. Somebody loves me and knows me well. I have seen recipes for squid ink risotto, pasta and bread, but what else? I started checking my favorite food sites, not much coming up. I Googled it, even less. How could I transfer it to something usable for me? Something wonderful for catering. Crackers. So I began making crackers and dying the dough with ink. The result was beautiful inky black crackers that we’re begging to be turned into canapés…next week.
